Andrew Hajduczek, M.D.
Dr. Andrew
Hajduczek was born and raised in Poland where he graduated from The
Silesian Medical Academy and finished internship and surgical
training (5 years).
After immigrating
to the United States, he completed internship and the surgical
residency program at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA and started in
busy private practice in the South Bay area in 1988. The scope of
his practice included all aspects of general surgery (including
laparoscopic – since 1990) as well as vascular and thoracic surgery.
He served as Chief of Surgery in three hospitals (double terms after
first being a Vice Chief there).
After associating
with Dr. Milton L. Owens in 1996, assisting on over 1,000 bariatric
operations and participating actively in peri & post-op patients
care he shifted gradually his main interest into surgery for the
management of obesity and related problems. He since gained
extensive experience in all aspects of laparoscopic and open
bariatric operations (including complex revisions) and performs them
regularly as a mainstay of his practice.
Dr. Hajduczek is a
Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an
active member of So.California chapter of The American College of
Surgeons, Los Angeles Surgical Society, Society of American
Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and American Society of
Bariatric Surgery (ASBS). He’s a staff member of 5 local hospitals. |
