Professional Experience
1995 to present: Consulting psychologist to bariatric programs, most
currently Coastal Center for Obesity at Chapman Medical Center.
Responsible for pre-op psychological evaluations, research and
support services of mobidly obese patients.
1992 to present: Consulting psychologist, Chapman Medical Center.
Primary staff-psychologist, Chapman Medical Center. Primary staff
psychologist for lung center program. Initates protocol, implements
psychological services and evaluations for emphysema patients.
Devises and facilitates support for caretakers of lung patients.
Works in concert with medical team. Research of COPD patients who
experienced lung volume reduction surgery for billeous emphysema.
1981 to present: Lecturer at Coastline Community College. University
of California, Irvine. University of California, Santa Barbara.
Lecturer to the health care industry, business, industry and public
schools, senior centers on issues concerning stress management,
substance abuse, drug interactions and psychopharmacology.
Intermittent lecturer and tour leader of expeditions for continuing
education (CPHA approved) in psychology, behavioral medicine and
